Vision Perry's community cleanup projects

Summer 2009

In the summer of 2009, Vision Perry started a community cleanup project. In an effort to pull together the town and it's people, Vision Perry got together a series of cleanup projects and artwork ideas and brought them together for a summer of renewal. Local highschool students pressure washed and swept the sidewalks and storefronts, while others cleaned up trash. Students then set about creating decorated garbage cans which were placed along the street to give people a place to throw their trash, a step towards keeping the streets clean. The summer program made a lasting impression on the town, sparking a continuing effort to clean up and renovate the town.
